Associate Attorney needed for Miami office

Job Overview: A law firm in Miami, FL, is seeking a bilingual Associate Attorney with at least 1 year of experience to assist a Personal Injury Lawyer in handling cases and providing legal support. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of personal injury law and be fluent in English and Spanish.

Duties:

• Assist the Personal Injury Lawyer in managing caseload and client communications.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties as necessary.
• Assist in case investigation and fact-finding efforts.
• Helped negotiate settlements and prepare settlement agreements.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as an attorney, preferably in personal injury law.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Florida Bar or eligibility to become admitted.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Florida Bar or eligibility to become admitted.
