Subrogation Litigation Adjuster

Duties: The candidate will ensure appropriate investigation of the claim, including review and evaluation of underlying facts and circumstances to determine viable 3rd parties that may be liable for the loss. Working with internal and external Litigation staff, and partners to ensure selection and utilization of legal counsel and that proper negotiation strategy is employed. Applies company principles and standards including planning, organizing, and monitoring legal panel services and cost in partnership with internal legal counsel. Manage company CAT losses to include claims handling, negotiations, and dissemination of information to involved parties as required. Review, prepare and monitor insured litigated claims while working in unison with internal legal counsel as needed. Assist and provide guidance to internal team members with the resolution of moderately complex questions as it relates to the litigation process from start to resolution. Determine cause of loss; retain appropriate experts based on claim facts and exposure. Leverages strong critical thinking and decision-making skills to gather, assess, analyze, question, verify, interpret, and understand key or root issues. Write in a clear, succinct, and fact-based manner in Claims files as well as in other communication. Manage time and diary entries effectively and efficiently. Establish and maintain effective relationships, gaining respect and trust of internal and external resources and customers. State licensure must be obtained as needed.
