Job Overview:

The Entry-Level Criminal Defense Attorney will provide legal counsel to clients, represent them in court proceedings, and manage their cases from pretrial to trial. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for Criminal Defense law and possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills.

Duties:

• Advise clients on their rights and draw up legal documents about their cases.
• Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and provide post-hearing advisement on case strategies.
• Managed court appearances and trials, draft motions, interview witnesses, and conduct legal research.
• Analyze probable case outcomes based on legal precedents.
• Effectively manage a workload of cases.
• Provide legal analysis to clients to determine potential case benefits.
• Gather additional evidence to support clients' cases or counter prosecution charges.
• Prepare clients for depositions and gather information from witnesses and experts supporting client positions.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated interest in Criminal Defense law through Law School clinics, volunteer work, or internships.
• Juris Doctorate degree.
• Active Bar admission (law graduates awaiting admission will be considered).
• Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to collaborate with fellow associates.
• Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Record of advancing legal cases and ability to manage a caseload.
• Experience with Case Management Software preferred.
