Media and Communications Coordinator
The candidate will assist with the execution of the firm's external publicity efforts, supporting internal communications, and enhancing/protecting the law firm's reputation across multiple geographies, with a focus on the US. Manage day-to-day execution of PR programs and ensure an integrated communications approach and strategy for internal and external audiences. Oversee the distribution of firm press announcements and seek out other brand enhancement and thought leadership opportunities for the firm's practices. Assist with managing a comprehensive calendar of ranking publications, directories, surveys and awards due dates and requirements, along with seeking new relevant opportunities. The role will be tasked with drafting submissions. Combine an active knowledge of industry trends and institutional knowledge to better aid the Department's efforts. Maintain database of firm recognitions for use in various marketing materials. Work collaboratively with the firm's Business Development and Marketing function to support strategic business plans of Industry and Practice Groups. Develop relationships with key journalists in the legal, business and trade press. Support internal communications through the firm's online mechanisms. Draft content for the Intranet, blog and various newsletters, as needed. Compile and distribute daily media report to firm leadership. Should have four year college degree, preferably in marketing, communications, or other business degree. Should have 2+ years of experience in disciplines that demand facility in project management, communications strategy, organizational skills, and the ability to work with sophisticated professional service providers; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have prior communications-based experience within a law firm, agency, or professional services environment.
