A law firm based in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a skilled and experienced Antitrust Associate Attorney at the Junior, Mid-Level, or Senior level. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in analyzing transactions for competition issues, particularly with a focus on the Hart-Scott-Rodino (“HSR”) Act and implementing Rules. The role requires expertise in substantive analysis, procedural matters, and filing logistics associated with HSR. Additionally, experience in advocating before the DOJ and FTC, with a special emphasis on technology, life sciences, and private equity transactions, is highly valued.

Duties

• Conduct a thorough analysis of transactions to identify competition issues and merger control filing requirements.
• Handle substantive analysis, procedural matters, and filing logistics related to the Hart-Scott-Rodino (“HSR”) Act and implementing Rules.
• Advocate before the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Trade Commission (FTC) on antitrust matters.
• Provide legal counsel and support in technology, life sciences, and private equity transactions.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other professionals within the firm to develop effective legal strategies.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in analyzing transactions for competition issues and HSR compliance.
• Familiarity with the Hart-Scott-Rodino (“HSR”) Act and implementing Rules.
• Proven advocacy experience before the DOJ and FTC.
• Specialized knowledge in technology, life sciences, and private equity transactions is a significant advantage.
• Outstanding academic credentials from a reputable law school.
• Comparable law firm experience in the field of antitrust law.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
