Duties

• Conduct research and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Draft and review initial pleadings, such as complaints, answers, and counterclaims.
• Handle all aspects of the discovery process, including requests and depositions.
• Formulate and respond to written discovery requests.
• Contribute to case strategy and analyze legal issues.
• Participate in court hearings and appearances.
• Assist in trial preparation, including witness preparation and exhibit organization.
• Manage client and opposing counsel communication effectively.
• Engage in settlement discussions and negotiations.
• Understand court rules and manage document filings.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Good standing to practice law in California.
• Demonstrated success in prior litigation matters is preferred.
• Strong commitment to achieving the best results for clients.
• Effective time management and task prioritization skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Integrity and ability to foster trust among colleagues.
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a track record of meeting billable hour expectations.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in California.
