Commercial Real Estate Paralegal - Bilingual

Duties: Coordinate the preparation of legal documents, title review, survey review, and closing and post-closing for Asset Optimization transactions. Review title commitments and examine back up documents received to ensure accuracy. Under the supervision of Corporate Counsel, Real Estate (CCRE), seek to cure title defects. Review surveys to ensure accuracy against legal description; correspond with surveyor concerning questionable access; etc. Under the direction of the CCRE, prepare (or assist in the preparation of) legal documents necessary for closing. Review and analyze ground leases and contracts. Coordinate closings. Review executed closing documents from property owners and prepare file for Senior Management review and full execution. Correspond with third party vendors to obtain additional information. Under the direction of the CCRE, follow up with ground lessors, vendors, and outside counsel on a variety of legal matters. Coordinate dissemination of documents to various departments within the company. Ensure fully executed documents are submitted to the title company for recording. Maintain and distribute various trackers and logs. Ensure acquisition expenses related to each transaction are processed and coded to the closing file. Prepare letters, memos and reports. Other projects and duties as assigned.
