A law firm seeks a Practice Group Associate or Special Counsel with expertise in the PBM industry to join their Health Law Practice in New York City, NY. The role involves supporting a team advising health plans on contracting relationships with pharmacy benefit managers and other pharmaceutical supply chain vendors.

Duties

• Draft and negotiate PBM contracts and related service agreements.
• Lead and support the contracting lifecycle for PBM procurements.
• Counsel clients on health plan operations and regulatory frameworks.
• Manage multiple contract workflows and coordinate with various stakeholders.
• Travel to client sites for in-person contract negotiations as needed.

Requirements

• At least three years of transactional experience in managed care or pharmaceutical supply chain industries.
• Experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
• Familiarity with federal and state regulations of health plans and PBMs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and maintain attention to detail.

Education

• JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to or eligible for admission in Massachusetts, New York, or Washington, DC.
