Legal Counsel
The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the contracting cycle with respect to Distributor, Reseller and various other contracts. This will include the negotiation of standard contracts as well as customer specific contracts. This may include negotiations directly with Distributors, Resellers, vendors. OEM and support agreements. HR support. Litigation support. Patent and trademark support. Will be a valued member of Check Point’s international legal team. Counsel will draft, review and negotiate various agreements, including channel and sales contracts, software license agreements, service and vendor agreements. Collaborate with other teams – Sales, Finance, Marketing, HR. Will be a dedicated team-player and able to identify legal risks. Should have 4 to 6 years relevant experience. Must have J.D. from an accredited law school. Familiarity with standard contract terms and conditions for sales of product and software is required. Must have experience supporting Marketing or Sales. Should demonstrate effective verbal and written skills. Must have working knowledge of MS Word and Excel. Should be familiar with employment law, securities law and/or international transactions. Spanish language a plus. Must have Software licensing experience; excellent contract development and negotiation skills. Familiarity with Data Privacy regulations is a plus. Understanding of and prior experience with open source is also a plus.
