Business Immigration Attorney

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm located in New York City is actively seeking a full-time Business Immigration Attorney to support its dynamic legal team. This role involves assisting with employment-based immigration matters, including both nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions, with a focus on high-volume case preparation and regulatory responses. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex filings and interacting with federal agencies and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-centered environment.

Duties:

• Prepare and file employment-based immigration petitions, including H-1B and PERM labor certifications

• Draft and compile supporting documentation for nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions

• Respond to Requests for Evidence (RFEs), audits, and notices from DOL, USCIS, and DOS

• Conduct legal research and guide immigration procedures and compliance

• Coordinate with clients to gather documentation and ensure timely filings

• Track case progress and maintain accurate case management records

• Draft motions and other submissions as needed for immigration proceedings

Requirements:

• Admission to a U.S. state bar and in good standing

• Demonstrated experience in employment-based immigration law, particularly with PERM and H-1B cases

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple matters under tight deadlines

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Active law license in any U.S. jurisdiction

Skills:

• Proficiency in employment-based immigration procedures and documentation

• Strong legal research and drafting capabilities

• Experience with immigration case management systems

• Familiarity with USCIS, DOL, and DOS regulations and correspondence
