Junior Level Financial Lines Associate Attorney Insurance

Profile

A law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking a Junior Level Financial Lines Associate Attorney with a focus on insurance law. The ideal candidate will have experience in various insurance lines and a strong attention to detail. This role also involves contributing to marketing and thought leadership efforts within the firm.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in matters related to financial lines insurance, including financial institutions, directors & officers, professional liability, and other similar coverage lines.
• Conduct coverage analysis, monitoring, and litigation for insurance claims.
• Participate in marketing and thought leadership efforts, which may include drafting practice-related publications, involvement in professional associations, client presentations, and speaking engagements.
• Perform legal research, analysis, and draft legal documents as required.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex cases and client matters.
• Assist in negotiations, settlements, and courtroom proceedings.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida, Texas, Illinois, and/or California.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills.
• 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
