Preferred Qualifications

MBA or master's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field.

Direct experience using social media management tools (Hootsuite, Sprout, Sprinklr, or other); Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premier Pro, Spark) or equivalent digital media editing tools.

Position Description

The College of Business is seeking a Coordinator for Marketing & Communication - Social Media & Content to maintain and build social media presence, develop written content for the College of Business marketing department, and provide technical and consulting support for College departmental social media accounts. Collaborate with the marketing department creative team to produce written and/or visual content and report on its effectiveness.  This includes working with the team on content strategy, developing content leads and stories, preparing scripts, interviewing for print and video, formatting, and proofreading written content as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with the marketing department, develop content, including but not limited to both paid and organic social media, long-form written content, photos, and videos
  • Plan, manage, and produce written content for our magazine, Currency, internal newsletters, and featured website highlights 
  • Maintain a shared social media calendar to plan and organize all content
  • Engage with our audiences and respond to social media comments, inquiries, and messages
  • Collect and analyze data to measure the performance of social accounts
  • Attend College of Business and University events and produce live social media content
  • Stay up to date on news and current events and adjust social strategy if needed 
  • Manage social media student ambassadors, providing oversight and direction on student content
  • Collaborate with other departments on enrollment campaigns, providing content, copy editing, and campaign development
  • The position is not strictly a standard office hours position and may require over 40 hours some weeks.  It will include some regular office hours, evenings, weekends, and the ability to travel on location in the Louisville area for social media coverage purposes.
