Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Pre-Suit Attorney for its Richmond, VA office. The successful candidate will manage pre-litigation work, guide clients, and oversee a team of Case Managers, focusing on personal injury cases.

Duties

• Handle all pre-litigation work daily
• Complete Flip-to-Lit approval
• Guide clients through the case process
• Draft and file pre-litigation documents
• Complete TD approval for liability issues
• Oversee settlement negotiations and demand packages
• Manage the release approval process
• Manage a team of 6-10 Case Managers
• Drive compliance and KPIs among team
• Conduct EUOs, PIP statements, and recorded statements

Requirements

• Law degree from an accredited law school
• Active member in good standing with the VA State Bar Association
• 2+ years of personal injury experience
• Ability to manage a high volume of pre-lit cases
• Excellent client service and communication skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Self-starter driven by long-term career goals
• Superior writing and oral advocacy skills
• Desire to become part of a trial team

Education

• Law degree from an accredited institution
