Job Overview: A law firm based in Denver, CO, is seeking a motivated Patent Agent/Technical Advisor with expertise in electrical engineering or computer science, particularly in artificial intelligence and machine learning. The ideal candidate will assist patent attorneys in various aspects of patent prosecution, counseling, and litigation while conducting thorough prior art searches and drafting patent applications.

Job Duties:

• Conduct prior art database searches for patentability and freedom to operate analyses.
• Analyze patent and scientific papers and documents to support attorneys in prosecution, counseling, and litigation.
• Draft patent applications and responses to office actions.
• Provide advice to lawyers on technology issues in preparation for depositions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• Eligibility to sit for the USPTO registration exam and meet the requirements for registration as a patent agent.
• Excellent technical, written, and verbal communication skills in English.
• Broad scientific knowledge in electrical engineering or computer science.
• Expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning is preferred.
• Initiative, fast learner, and ability to work well in a team environment.

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or related field.

Skills:

• Superb technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Broad scientific knowledge in electrical engineering or computer science.
• Expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning is preferred.
