A law firm in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney focusing on Higher Education. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of commercial litigation experience, with a strong desire to specialize in Higher Education law. Admission to the Florida Bar is required.

Duties:

• Conducted legal research and analysis on complex commercial litigation cases, particularly in the higher education sector.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in state and federal court proceedings, including hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case strategy and client management.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and judicial officers.
• Manage discovery processes, including document review and production.

Requirements:

• 4-6 years of commercial litigation experience.
• Strong focus or interest in Higher Education law.
• Admission to the Florida Bar.
• Excellent academic background with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Florida Bar.
