Senior Writer/Editor-Firm Communications
The candidate will work closely with our MD of Marketing & Business Development and others in Client Development Department to write and edit firm communications, including talking points; chair and other internal communications; quarterly updates; speeches; and presentations. Collaborate with lawyers on articles, treatises, speeches, and client alerts, ensuring the highest journalistic standards of engagement, relevance, accuracy, and brevity. Adapt editing process to the needs, style, disposition, expectations, timetable, and budget of firm leadership, requesting lawyer, or Client Development team member. Produce work product that reflects the firm’s standards of excellence and commitment to client service. Adhere to the firm’s standards of confidentiality and citizenship. Communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, with the lawyers and members of other staff departments about priorities and expectations. Provide feedback, advice, and training on writing techniques in a responsive, constructive manner. Engender the confidence of firm leadership, and members of other staff departments, in the ability to assist them with their writing and editing needs to be focused on the firm and its practices. Demonstrate the ability to build and sustain professional relationships with coworkers in global offices.
