Duties:
Offer representation and legal assistance on various immigration matters involving removal proceedings, asylum, adjustment of status, family unification, and employment-based petitions
Draft and submit legal filings, including briefs, applications, and petitions, before relevant administrative bodies and courts
Appear in immigration court proceedings and attend interviews with clients at USCIS
Conduct legal research and develop effective case strategies tailored to each client’s situation
Maintain regular, professional communication with clients, government entities, and other third parties involved in the case
Organize and manage legal documentation and case files to ensure compliance and efficiency
Provide oversight and mentorship to junior legal support staff as needed
Requirements:
Licensed to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction (Arizona bar membership preferred or eligibility for waiver/admission)
Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. immigration processes and procedures
Familiarity with intersecting legal areas (e.g., family law, employment law, humanitarian relief) is an asset
Proven ability to advocate effectively on behalf of clients in high-stakes or complex immigration cases
Excellent legal writing, oral advocacy, and interpersonal skills
Comfortable working both independently and within a collaborative, team-based setting
Strong attention to detail and capacity to manage a dynamic caseload
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state or territory
