A law firm seeks a Pre-Litigation Associate - Of Counsel (Remote) based in Los Angeles, CA. This fully remote position involves handling pre-litigation matters, including demand letters, requests for records, and agency/administrative charges. The role is available nationwide in any state where the firm maintains an office.

Duties

• Independently respond to demand letters, requests for records, and agency/administrative charges.
• Assess claims and provide analysis to clients and carriers.
• Engage in direct client and carrier contact for response handling.
• Participate in settlement activities, including mediations.
• Collaborate with the Professional Development team for client work product delivery.
• Complete all client and firm-related administrative tasks.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by firm leadership.

Requirements

• Admitted to the CA state bar and in good standing.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in California employment litigation for Associate role.
• At least 9+ years of relevant experience for Of Counsel level.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize, balance demands, and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional communication and legal research skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Active membership in the California State Bar.
