A law firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Mid-Level Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team in Plano, TX. This position involves working on complex litigation matters, including Construction and design Law. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills and have a proven track record of meeting billable hours goals.

Duties

• Provide initial analysis and develop case strategy
• Prepare and respond to discovery
• Take and defend depositions, draft motions, and attend hearings
• Explain legal options to clients and bring possible outcomes or threats to their attention
• Build relationships with clients
• Negotiate, research, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Handle Construction & Design Law matters

Requirements

• At least 3+ years of experience in commercial litigation
• Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school
• In good standing and able to practice law in the state of Texas
• Strong critical thinking skills and solid academic background
• Strong sense of urgency about problem-solving, meeting deadlines, and achieving goals
• Knowledgeable, attentive, and proactive

• Self-motivated, and goal-oriented with a track record of meeting billable hours goals
• Inclined to take the initiative and work independently with minimal supervision
• Detail-oriented, organized, and effective

• Experience with iManage and OneDrive is a plus
