Duties

• Advise clients on legal rights and draft legal documents related to their cases.
• Attend pretrial hearings and advise clients on strategies post-hearing.
• Manage court appearances, trials, motions, witness interviews, and legal research.
• Analyze case outcomes using legal precedents.
• Manage case workload and provide legal analysis for potential case benefits.
• Gather additional evidence to support client cases or counter prosecution charges.
• Prepare clients for depositions and gather information from witnesses and experts.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of criminal defense experience.
• Experience with complex criminal cases at federal, state, and local levels.
• Team player open to collaboration and strategizing with associates.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred, but not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to exceptional client service.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law in the state of California.
