A law firm seeks a skilled Litigation Attorney to join its Personal Injury team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation experience, the ability to manage a high-volume caseload, and a proven record of advocating for clients. This role involves handling cases from filing through resolution, including strategy development, discovery, depositions, negotiation, and trial when necessary.

Duties

• Manage a docket of personal injury cases from filing through resolution.
• Evaluate cases, develop litigation strategies, and maintain ongoing communication with clients.
• Conduct written discovery, depositions of parties and witnesses, and respond to discovery requests.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents with precision.
• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as required.
• Negotiate settlements and advocate strongly for client interests.
• Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and experts to prepare cases effectively.
• Ensure deadlines, court requirements, and firm standards are consistently met.
• Uphold the highest level of professionalism, ethics, and client service.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Texas in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience in personal injury preferred.
• Strong skills in case evaluation, strategy development, and negotiation.
• Excellent oral advocacy, research, and writing skills.
• Experience managing a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment.
• Trial experience is a plus but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in Texas in good standing.
