Environmental/Water Rights Regulatory Partner
The candidate must have a J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials and experience in litigation, regulatory, and legislative matters for environmental/water rights industries, including surface and groundwater appropriation and use, water rights sales and transfers, changes of water rights, water quality standards and classifications, wastewater and stormwater discharge permitting and site remediation issues; experience working with clients in the industry supporting regulatory, legislative, litigation, and transactional matters; experience supporting M&A deals and real estate transactions is preferred; ability to learn and embrace new skills and best practices as the position evolves and Firm needs change, work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines, work well independently as well as effectively within a team, develop relationships and foster teamwork at all levels of the Firm, manage confidential information and sensitive situations with tact and discretion and confidence to identify and analyze issues, make decisions, and initiate actions/solutions, maintain composure and demonstrate good judgmentregulatory experience in the environmental and water rights industries; excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a diverse group of internal and external clients, attorneys, and staff, oral and written communication skills; agility to respond to unexpected challenges, including proactively developing innovative solutions to complex problems while maintaining a professional demeanor.
