Duties

• Independently manage a docket of employment litigation matters from filing through resolution.
• Develop and execute a case strategy.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Lead discovery planning and motion practice.
• Prepare for and attend mediations.
• Prepare cases for trial.
• Maintain consistent case momentum and forward progress.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure operational efficiency.
• Provide clear, practical legal advice to clients throughout representation.

Requirements

• 5-10+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Plaintiff-side employment litigation experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing cases from start to finish.
• Significant deposition experience required.
• Experience with plaintiff-focused trial advocacy training strongly preferred.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment in complex matters.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in West Virginia.
