Legal Counsel - Regional Attorney
The candidate will advise **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.'s US Life & Health (L&H) reinsurance business and other business units as needed on US law, with an emphasis on reinsurance and insurance regulations. Obtain regulatory approval for transactions and activities. Work closely and collaboratively with colleagues which includes a diverse group of lawyers, structurers, marketers, underwriters, actuaries and other cross-functional peers to provide legal support for **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.'s L&H reinsurance business. Partner with fellow **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. legal specialists, including reinsurance and insurance attorneys, dispute resolution, compliance, corporate governance, employment and intellectual property experts on legal advisory matters. Draft and provide legal advice on reinsurance and business-related agreements. Advise on structuring business relationships, new product development, marketing efforts and other business activities. Support internal projects as needed; provide timely and concise input to senior leadership for quarterly legal reports, team KPIs, strategic initiatives, etc. Support development of efficient policies and practices that maintain high legal and ethical standards. Share knowledge to promote consistency and increase the agility of the team. . Should be an US qualified attorney with a minimum of four years' experience with a law firm or (re)insurance company. Experience advising on US reinsurance and insurance law and regulation, with an emphasis on Life and Health (re)insurance. Detail-oriented and dedicated to providing high-quality, timely client service that is balanced with a clear focus on protecting the interests and reputation of the firm. Excellent communicator (written and verbal) and adopt a pragmatic, consultative approach to problem-solving. Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a track record of effectively managing competing demands. Team-player, willing to work collaboratively and constructively with others.
