This role involves handling both litigation and advisory matters, including class actions and individual employment disputes. The position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of employment issues while advising clients on compliance, risk management, and workplace policies in a collaborative environment.

Duties

  • Manage employment litigation matters, including class actions and single plaintiff cases
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents
  • Handle matters involving wage and hour claims, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination
  • Defend class and collective actions, including PAGA claims
  • Advise clients on employment law compliance and workplace policies
  • Draft and negotiate employment agreements, termination, and severance agreements
  • Guide on reductions in force, compensation practices, and employee policies
  • Represent clients before state and federal courts and administrative agencies
  • Collaborate with team members on litigation strategy and client counseling

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in labor and employment law
  • Experience in both litigation and advisory work preferred
  • Knowledge of federal and California employment laws, including wage and hour regulations
  • Experience handling class or collective actions preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and work independently

Education and Certifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the California State Bar
