A prestigious law firm in New York City is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join its Employment Law Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have 2–6 years of experience in employment litigation and counseling, with additional exposure to corporate transactions and, ideally, traditional labor law or OSHA-related matters. Represent clients in employment-related litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
Provide day-to-day counseling on employment-related issues
Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on employment compliance and litigation strategy
Advise on employment aspects of corporate transactions, including due diligence and drafting related provisions
Assist clients with internal investigations and risk management strategies
Collaborate with colleagues in related practice areas, such as corporate or labor law
Stay current on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
2–6 years of relevant experience in employment law
Background in both employment litigation and counseling
Experience with traditional labor law and OSHA matters preferred
Ability to advise on employment issues in corporate transactions a plus
Must be admitted to practice in New York
Must be able to work from the New York office
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school
Strong academic credentials required
Active license to practice law in the State of New York
Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing skills
Strong interpersonal communication and client-facing abilities
Proficiency in managing multiple assignments under tight deadlines
Team-oriented with a proactive and detail-driven work style
Ability to interpret and apply complex employment regulations and case law
