Job Overview:
A respected law firm based in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a passionate and motivated Entry-Level Immigration Attorney to join its growing legal team. This role presents an exceptional opportunity for a newly licensed attorney or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in immigration law, with support and mentorship from senior attorneys. The position includes client-facing responsibilities, active case management, and collaboration with a team of experienced immigration professionals.
Location:
Las Vegas, Nevada
Duties:
Explain immigration processes and present legal strategies to clients
Represent clients in removal proceedings before Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals
Conduct intakes, including visits with detained individuals at detention centers
Prepare and review immigration applications, including family-based petitions and humanitarian relief
Develop strategies for court and USCIS hearings and prepare clients and witnesses accordingly
Draft and submit legal briefs, motions, and supporting documents
Participate in client consultations and determine eligibility and legal options
Communicate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on immigration-related matters
Maintain timely case updates and documentation while managing an active caseload
Requirements:
0 to 3 years of experience in immigration law
Willingness to learn and collaborate with a supportive legal team
Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred, not required)
Familiarity with family-based petitions, EOIR proceedings, detained clients, citizenship, and other USCIS matters
Experience using case management software (preferred)
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active license to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction (Nevada preferred)
