Paralegal

The candidate will provide legal and administrative support for four Staff Attorneys, including the Director, along with 25-30 law student interns. Will assists with drafting legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, contracts, and settlement agreements and their subsequent filing with various courts in the State of Indiana. Will be responsible for maintaining litigation calendars for the attorney and intern staff. Supervises legal interns in procedural matters, including document preparation and service of process. Must have Associates degree with concentration in Paralegal studies and Must have 2+ years of experience as a paralegal, with a strong understanding of the Rules of Professional Conduct, local Rules of Court and e-filing. Experience with university academic and financial procedures is preferred. Should have knowledge of University policies, procedures and online systems, includes: KFS, HRMS, CHROME RIVER, SIS, IUIE, IUF-ETA. Must have working knowledge and skills to be familiar with the litigation process, court systems, and legal rules. Must have familiarity with applicable state and federal laws.
