Transactional Attorney

A law firm in Bloomfield Hills is seeking a Transactional Attorney with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience to support the business department. The candidate will primarily focus on transactional matters, with an emphasis on cannabis law, real estate transactions, and commercial litigation. Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.

Duties:

• Provide support to the business department, focusing on transactional matters.
• Handle various aspects of cannabis law, including preparing and filing state and local license/permit applications.
• Assist with real estate transactions and commercial litigation.
• Conduct legal research and draft documents related to client matters.
• Collaborate with department members on handling matters and building a client base.
• Advise clients on municipal, real estate, land use, and corporate matters related to cannabis business operations.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-approved law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the Michigan Bar.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of working experience in transactional law.
• Demonstrated experience in preparing and filing state and local license/permit applications.
• Familiarity with cannabis law and regulations.
• Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications:

Active membership in the Michigan Bar.

Skills:
