Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Energy Associate in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 4 years of relevant large law firm transactional experience, with a focus on energy development and/or energy project finance.

Duties

• Work within the Corporate Practice Group on energy-related transactions.
• Draft energy development agreements and manage tax equity financing structures.
• Collaborate with team members to support client needs and project goals.

Requirements

• 1 to 4 years of relevant transactional experience in a large law firm.
• Experience in energy development and/or project finance preferred.
• Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Excellent academic credentials.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Member of the District of Columbia, Florida, Illinois, New York, North Carolina, or Texas bars, depending on office location.

Skills

• Proficiency in drafting and negotiating complex agreements.
• Ability to analyze and interpret legal documents and regulations.
