Senior Insurance Coverage Litigation Attorney/Senior Counsel

Profile

A law firm based in Irvine is seeking a Senior Insurance Coverage Litigation Attorney/Senior Counsel to represent insurers in complex commercial litigation and insurance coverage matters. The candidate will be responsible for developing litigation strategy, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and managing all aspects of insurance coverage litigation.

Duties:

• Develop litigation strategy for insurance coverage disputes and class actions.
• Conduct complex legal research and analysis, and draft memoranda.
• Analyze insurance policies, draft coverage analyses, and provide coverage advice and recommendations.
• Draft and review pleadings, memos, briefs, interrogatories, and other legal documents.
• Take and defend depositions, and attend court hearings and mediations.
• Conduct document review and work on all aspects of pretrial to trial proceedings.
• Manage and supervise associates and paralegals.
• Interact directly with clients and provide legal counsel and guidance.

Requirements:

• Admission to practice law in California.
• 8+ years of experience in insurance coverage litigation, particularly with commercial general liability policies.
• Extensive experience with state and federal court proceedings.
• Excellent academic credentials and proven legal expertise.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, leadership abilities, and mentoring experience.
