Job Overview

A law firm seeks a full-time Associate Family Law Attorney in Pullman, WA. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of divorce and family law, with the ability to manage cases from start to finish. Some experience is desired but not required.

Duties

• Draft legal memorandums, pleadings, motions, and correspondence to clients and counsel.
• Meet with clients to discuss case details and provide legal advice.
• Conduct legal research to support case strategies.
• Conduct discovery, including Interrogatories, Request for Production of Documents, and Request for Admissions.
• Prepare for trials, including drafting direct and cross examinations and preparing witnesses.
• Appear in court for motion hearings and trials.

Requirements

• Admitted to the WA Bar or planning to take the WA Bar in the near future.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think logically and deliver creative solutions.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• A sense of humor.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Washington State.

Skills

• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Proficiency in trial preparation and courtroom procedures.
