Job Overview: An established law firm, with multiple offices in Texas, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its expanding San Antonio office. This position offers the opportunity to work with one of the top litigation teams in the country. The firm is renowned for its expertise in insurance defense and labor & employment law, with attorneys recognized nationally for their trial excellence. This role provides a dynamic, challenging environment where the attorney will actively engage in all aspects of litigation, from pre-trial motions to trial appearances.

Duties:

• Manage a docket of third-party defense cases, handling all aspects from briefing to motion work.
• Conduct depositions and make court appearances.
• Actively participate in trial proceedings, assisting in case preparation and presenting legal arguments.
• Collaborate with senior partners to advise clients on a range of complex legal issues.
• Provide effective legal counsel to clients, ensuring quality service and legal solutions.

Requirements:

• 1-4 years of legal experience, preferably in third-party defense.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Capable of working independently while seeking guidance from senior attorneys when necessary.
• Eagerness to engage in courtroom proceedings and trials.
• Client-focused with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active State Bar membership in Texas.

Skills:

• Proficient in legal research and writing.
• Skilled in litigation, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
