A distinguished law firm located in Salinas, CA, is seeking an experienced and proactive Family Law Litigation Attorney. This role offers the opportunity to handle a wide spectrum of family law matters with a strong emphasis on litigation. Ideal candidates will demonstrate independent judgment, leadership in legal proceedings, and the ability to manage complex family law cases from start to finish while working in a collaborative legal environment.

Duties:

• Represent clients in family law litigation, including contested divorce, custody, and support matters

• Manage case files, deadlines, and legal documentation with precision

• Take and defend depositions, prepare witnesses, and handle discovery procedures

• Attend court appearances, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations

• Maintain accurate billing and documentation for legal services rendered

• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs

• Collaborate with team members to develop legal strategies and solutions

• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on family law litigation experience

• Demonstrated ability to independently handle a full caseload

• Proven experience appearing in court and managing all stages of litigation

• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines under pressure

• Willingness to work in-office (Salinas or Hollister) or in a hybrid setting

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license in good standing with the California State Bar
