Job Overview: A law firm specializing in intellectual property law seeks a driven and experienced Patent Attorney to join its team in Menlo Park, CA. The ideal candidate will handle a variety of patent projects and demonstrate expertise in drafting, prosecution, post-grant proceedings, opinions, and due diligence.

Job Duties:

• Manage a diverse portfolio of patent projects, including drafting, prosecution, post-grant proceedings, opinions, and due diligence.
• Conduct thorough analysis and research to support patent applications and legal opinions.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
• Provide expert advice on patent-related matters, including infringement and validity assessments.
• Stay updated on changes in patent laws and regulations to ensure compliance and inform strategic decisions.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a junior Associate Attorney specializing in patent law.
• Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry or a related field, with a preference for PhD candidates.
• Alternatively, 2-3 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution on small molecule pharmaceuticals.
• Admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
