Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Dallas, Texas, is currently looking for an experienced Senior Associate Attorney to join its growing Real Estate group. This position is ideal for a lawyer with at least 6 years of experience in real estate law, particularly in real estate finance and joint ventures. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on high-profile deals involving multifamily, industrial, cold storage, and other commercial real estate projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled attorney seeking to elevate their career with a dynamic and supportive legal team.

Duties:

  • Represent institutional equity investors and developers in real estate joint ventures focused on acquisitions and developments of various commercial real estate product types.
  • Lead the drafting and negotiation of joint venture agreements for real estate transactions.
  • Provide counsel to institutional borrowers in the structuring and financing of both construction and stabilized real estate, including debt funds, structured finance, and CMBS-style financings.
  • Oversee complex transactions involving mezzanine financing components and other capital stack elements.
  • Manage client relationships and provide high-quality legal advice to various stakeholders in real estate deals.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in real estate law, with a focus on finance and joint ventures.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex real estate transactions and negotiations independently.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a proven track record of client-facing experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor and a collaborative approach to working with team members.

Education:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in good standing in the State of Texas.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of real estate joint ventures, finance structures, and commercial real estate transactions.
  • Expertise in negotiation and drafting complex real estate agreements.
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
