A distinguished law firm is actively seeking a Career Associate to join its Insurance & Reinsurance Litigation Practice Group. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with at least five years of experience in complex litigation, specifically involving insurance coverage and bad faith matters. The position may also include broader litigation responsibilities outside of the insurance domain. The role requires a professional who excels in California courtrooms, demonstrates strategic thinking, and collaborates effectively while operating with a high degree of autonomy.

Location:

• San Diego, CA

Duties:

• Litigate insurance coverage and bad faith claims

• Support additional non-insurance litigation matters as needed

• Represent clients in both California state and federal courts

• Draft motions, pleadings, discovery, and other litigation documents

• Conduct legal research and provide strategic recommendations

• Collaborate with attorneys and staff across litigation teams

• Maintain responsibility for managing litigation caseload independently

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, including insurance matters

• Extensive courtroom experience in California state and federal courts

• Familiarity with insurance coverage issues under general liability and property/casualty policies (preferred)

• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Commitment to legal excellence and strong client service

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active and in good standing with the California State Bar
