The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience managing a workers’ compensation caseload from inception through resolution. Duties

• Manage a caseload of workers’ compensation matters from inception to trial or resolution

• Conduct legal research and oversee work delegated to paralegals

• Prepare and file pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal reports

• Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings

• Negotiate settlements effectively and in the best interest of clients

• Ensure timely and accurate documentation throughout the litigation process

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in workers’ compensation litigation

• Prior insurance defense experience is a plus

• Proven ability to manage multiple active cases

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Detail-oriented with strong time management and organizational skills

• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active member of the Florida Bar in good standing

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Strong negotiation and advocacy abilities

• Capable of drafting persuasive legal documents and arguments

• Ability to effectively communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams
