A prominent law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with at least two years of experience to join its growing insurance and bad faith litigation practice. This role will focus on representing insurers in complex litigation matters, including bad faith claims and coverage disputes in Washington and other jurisdictions. The position offers flexibility through a hybrid work arrangement and the opportunity to handle challenging, high-impact matters across a range of venues, including both state and federal courts.

Litigate insurance coverage and bad faith matters from inception to resolution
Manage all phases of litigation including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
Draft legal documents including motions, briefs, and discovery responses
Conduct depositions and prepare witnesses
Provide strategic liability analyses and litigation strategy to insurance clients
Represent clients in court, mediations, and arbitrations
Work collaboratively with partners, associates, and clients
Navigate both Washington and other jurisdictions’ state and federal courts
Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil litigation
Background in insurance coverage and/or bad faith litigation strongly preferred
Experience handling breach of contract and insurance-related claims
Ability to independently manage litigation matters, including trial preparation
Proficiency in legal research and drafting complex legal documents
Demonstrated ability to provide litigation strategy guidance to clients
Familiarity with Lexis and related legal research platforms
Must be licensed to practice in Washington (in good standing)
California Bar admission is a plus
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
Active Washington State Bar license (required)
Admission to additional jurisdictions is a plus
Excellent writing, analytical, and legal research skills
Strong litigation and case management capabilities
Ability to handle multiple matters and meet strict deadlines
Effective oral advocacy and courtroom presence
