A law firm seeks an experienced Employment and Litigation Associate in New York, NY. The successful candidate will manage a docket of cases, provide legal advice to employer clients, and handle various litigation tasks.

Duties

• Manage day-to-day case docket.
• Advise clients on human resources issues.
• Conduct investigations of discrimination and harassment claims.
• Draft position statements for EEOC and NYDHR proceedings.
• Prepare legal pleadings and motions.
• Oversee discovery process, including drafting and responding to requests.
• Attend court conferences and conduct or defend depositions.
• Draft and review employment-related agreements and handbooks.

Requirements

• 2+ years of litigation and relevant experience.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.
• New York State Bar admission (mandatory).
• Admission to SDNY and EDNY courts (preferred).

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• New York State Bar admission.
