Associate Counsel, Employment Law
The candidate will advise restaurant managers and enterprise professionals in all areas of employment law, including recruiting, hiring, discipline, terminations, wage and hour, and discrimination/harassment in order to reduce legal risks from employment practices. Conduct internal investigations in response to employee or guest complaints. Prepare responses to government claims and charges. Represent the Company at mediations, agency hearings, arbitrations, and trials. Act as a liaison between outside counsel and all Company representatives and witnesses, including overseeing litigation discovery protocols. Manage and resolve cases within set budgets and parameters. Support the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures, keeping abreast of all pertinent federal, state, and local laws and communicating changes and trends in those laws to Company personnel. Interact with Company senior leaders and outside counsel on complex issues having an impact or potential impact across the organization. Develop team members by providing training, development, and other professional growth opportunities. Manage individual and team performance through coaching, feedback, and performance management discussions.
