Duties

• Manage an individual caseload involving workplace injury defense matters

• Develop litigation strategies based on case facts and legal research

• Conduct depositions, mediations, and evidentiary hearings

• Draft motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents

• Analyze case files and make recommendations regarding resolution strategies

• Participate in settlement negotiations and assist in preparing matters for trial

• Maintain client communications and manage deadlines independently

• Collaborate with colleagues and external counsel to support case development

Requirements

• Admission and good standing with the Florida Bar

• 0-3 years of relevant litigation experience (workers’ compensation defense preferred)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently

• Interest in gaining courtroom and litigation experience

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• An active Florida Bar license required
