Job Overview

A prominent law firm located in Washington, DC, is seeking a litigation associate to join its nationally recognized product liability and mass torts team. This practice is known for representing major manufacturers in high-stakes individual, multidistrict, class action, and mass tort litigation across a diverse range of industries. The selected associate will work alongside seasoned trial attorneys in some of the most complex and challenging jurisdictions. The team places strong emphasis on collaboration, excellence in advocacy, and associate mentorship.

Duties

• Participate as a core member of trial teams in high-impact litigation matters

• Handle all phases of tort litigation, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, expert coordination, and trial preparation

• Conduct complex legal research and draft persuasive motions and memoranda

• Develop case strategies in coordination with senior attorneys and clients

• Engage in client communications and case management

• Attend hearings, mediations, and court proceedings as needed

Requirements

• 3-5 years of substantive tort litigation experience

• Previous involvement in product liability, mass tort, or toxic/environmental tort matters

• Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale litigation

• Exceptional research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

• Admission to the DC Bar is required

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

• Strong academic performance

Certifications

• Active and good standing with the District of Columbia Bar
