General Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm based in Newport Beach, CA, is seeking a General Litigation Associate Attorney with strong writing ability, exemplary research skills, and a willingness to learn. The ideal candidate must be licensed in California and have experience with motion practice and depositions. The General Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling general liability, construction law, and/or business litigation matters. They will utilize their strong writing ability and research skills to provide effective legal representation to clients.

Duties:

• Provide legal representation to clients in general liability, construction law, and/or business litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and conduct depositions.
• Participate in motion practice and other court proceedings.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and execution.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

Requirements:

• Graduation from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Bar admission in the State of California.
• 11+ months of experience as a licensed attorney in general liability, construction law, and/or business litigation.
• Strong writing ability with exemplary research skills.
• Experience with motion practice and depositions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
