Duties

• Manage a caseload from case inception through trial or resolution.
• Conduct legal research and oversee research projects assigned to paralegals.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and reports.
• Supervise junior attorneys.
• Attend court proceedings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings.
• Negotiate settlements.

Requirements

• Ability to manage files independently from inception to resolution.
• Excellent and persuasive verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality work product.
• At least 5 years of prior insurance defense and/or personal/bodily injury litigation experience.
• Existing book of business.
• Licensed member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
• Proficient use of technology and automation resources, such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Florida.
