Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm specializing in litigation is seeking a motivated Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Tiburon, CA. The ideal candidate will possess 1-2 years of California civil litigation experience and will be responsible for handling various trial preparation and case management tasks.

Duties:

• Work on litigation cases and assignments, preparing for trial and/or settlement
• Collaborate with insurance carriers, attending court appearances, depositions, and client meetings
• Draft and respond to letters, discovery requests, motions, etc.
• Independently maintain a caseload, advancing cases procedurally and prioritizing deadlines
• Conduct legal research, issue spotting, and draft legal documents such as memos, pleadings, motions, and discovery
• Provide strategy and recommendations for case defense
• Maintain professionalism at all times

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of California civil litigation experience
• Experience in Civil Litigation in CA Superior Court
• Experience in mediations, depositions, attending court appearances, and oral argument
• Ability to review and summarize medical records preferred
• JD degree
• Admission to California Bar in good standing
