Irwin Fritchie is one of the few Louisiana law firms that hire both first- and second-year law students as summer associates. We seek law students who share our enthusiasm for litigation and teamwork. The firm receives résumés from around the country and conducts interviews on campuses and in our offices. Our goal is to identify and hire summer associates who we believe have the potential to become associates and members of our firm. Summer associates are provided an array of assignments, ranging from legal research and writing memoranda to drafting motions and briefs. We expose our recruits to the world of litigation through attendance at depositions, client and expert meetings, mediations, court conferences, hearings, and trials. Unique to our summer associate program is the practical training we provide, including a mock deposition course.
