Duties

• Research and prepare legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda.
• Evaluate new cases and propose litigation strategies.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
• Conduct depositions and examinations under oath.
• Litigate pre-trial motions and represent clients in mediation and trial.
• Manage files, ensuring compliance with client and court deadlines.

Requirements

• Member of the Florida Bar (required).
• Membership in Middle, Northern, and Southern Districts (preferred).
• 5 years of trucking/transportation litigation experience (required).
• Experience with cargo losses and damage claims (preferred).
• Knowledge of litigation issues in the trucking industry (asset).
• Familiarity with Pro Law (asset).

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school (required).

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law within the State of Florida (required).
