Patent Agent
The candidate drafts and prosecutes patent applications and conducts patent validity, non-infringement, and freedom-to-operate analyses. In addition to patent prosecution, responsibilities include supporting IP due diligence, patent litigations, post-grant proceedings (IPR, PGR, interferences), and other IP matters related to small-molecule pharmaceuticals. Must have 2+ years of substantive patent experience related to small-molecule pharmaceuticals; 3-5 years of experience preferred. Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred, or M.S. with several years industry experience) in chemistry, with a strong emphasis on organic or medicinal chemistry. Should be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, superior academic background, and a desire for teamwork, significant responsibility, and client interaction.
