Duties

• Handle a docket of personal injury litigation files.
• Draft and respond to discovery and motions.
• Take and defend depositions, and prepare clients for their depositions.
• Attend hearings, mediations, and trials as needed.
• Negotiate settlements and maintain communication with opposing counsel.
• Work closely with litigation support staff to maintain case momentum.
• Track deadlines, maintain case files, and ensure timely progression of each matter.
• Collaborate with attorney team on strategy and keep updated on outcomes.
• Conduct legal research.
• Stay up to date on legal developments, court rules, and legislative or policy changes affecting personal injury law.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor Degree (J.D) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Texas.
• 1-10 years of law experience; personal injury experience is a plus.
• Ability to manage a caseload and meet deadlines.
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop effective case strategies.

Education

• Juris Doctor Degree (J.D) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas.
